Nook-E
I continue to be a founding member of technology startup Nook-E, which recognised a problem with accessing locker space at work at the end of a cycle commute.

Working through this problem to develop a scalable proposition involved finding a multi-sided business model to offer value to commuters, workplaces and building managers. Financial modelling enabled us to find a positive cash flow solution with the lowest minimum cash balance to enable a boot-strapped launch, however this involved hardware which could be readily replicated in a competing model.

Currently, Nook-E has extended it's founding team to include the functional technology development capability to prioritise developing the proprietary technology underpinning the solution.

Through this it has found a much wider application for its tech and is soon to approach an exciting new stage of investment-readiness.
Cue Sleeve
I was fortunate to have worked within a team of five academics from Swinburne University, Melbourne Australia to develop an investment-readiness strategy for proprietary technology developed by medical technology startup Novasense Biomedical.

Their flagship product, Cue sleeve is motorised, wearable sleeve that provides motion guidance for people with vision impairment.

Working with Computer Science and Software Engineering Senior Lecture Dr Chris McCarthy and Biomedical Engineering PhD student Deepa Prabhu, myself and two others from the Swinburne Graduate School of Entrepreneurship developed the growth strategy proposal for investment along with paths to reach an international market.

This helped award the startup the MedTech Actuator Menzies scholarship for further funded development.
MADI Tiny Homes
I co-created a commercialisation strategy and Business Plan for MADI fold-able homes to enter the Australian market.

This exciting project involved a deep design thinking approach to understand how MADI homes could best achieve their vision of affordable and sustainable housing within the Australian market.
This detailed plan concluded with a recommendation to grow with an agile approach to test a variety of key customer cohorts with a digital and social marketing platform, and utilising face-to-face experiential events to demonstrate the usefulness of the product.
Patents
Patents I have been named on and for which I achieved Harman awards:
1. A novel low-cost method for displaying audio signal levels using single color LED's and LED screen.
2. A novel low-cost housing for wireless signal processing in an audio mixing console.
